Choosing the right IoT Development Kit is no joke for serious projects. Find out why developers love working with NetBurner Embedded Dev Kits.
Your success is our success which is why NetBurner does everything possible to support the design and commercialization of cutting edge and reliable automation and IoT products and solutions. Our robust and easy to use development kits accelerate embedded development into scalable product and soluitions. With NetBurner, developers can focus on the core of their application and leave it to us to do the embedded heavy-lifting.
1. Included IoT Development Software
NBEclipse is a plug-in to the Eclipse IDE and provides a great environment to manage projects, edit code, debug, and download your application to NetBurner devices.
Example Source Code
Get hands-on familiarity with the NetBurner embedded platform by studying, building, and modifying the included source code examples. Each example consists of buildable and executable source code that illustrates how to accomplish one or more tasks.
ANSI C/C++ compiler and linker (GNU Based), TCP/IP stack, Web server, E-mail protocols, RTOS, Flash file system, and more.
Security and Optional Software Modules
Embedded SSL/TLS & SSH Security Suite, SNMP V1 (optional Module License Version)
Each SOM dev kit comes with the industrially-rated embedded system on module platform hardware. We also include a development carrier board which makes prototyping fast and easy. Interact with a NetBurner dev kits by loading examples that read and control integrated dip switches or LEDs in response to incoming data. NetBurner even provides schematics for development boards so that you can easily use them in your own designs and get deployed faster.
Power and data
Now you can communicate with processor UARTs from your Mac or Windows PC via USB. The on-board USB port also enables you to power the development board. Or use a wall powered barrel jack with +7 to +24 VDC supply of your choosing (or add one while shopping).
Flash card storage
The FAT12/16/32 flash file system gives developers the flexibility to store and exchange data through flash cards. NetBurner provides a standard API, complete C-based source code, drivers, and ample examples to get started.
Simple firmware updates
Perform updates remotely. Update your hardware over 10/100 Ethernet or its serial port.
Robust Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) optimized for high-speed encrypted networking, task management and IO. With NetBurner you get an RTOS that we stand behind and fully support.
4. Technical Support
E-Mail and Online Support Portal
All dev kits come with a limited time support package. Our prompt email support provides excellent results and works as follows: your email question is received by support personnel with a wide range of abilities. The individual best suited to answer the question will assume responsibility to answer your question. This method avoids tiered approach of forcing you to go through many people before finding the right person to help.
Documentation and Learn Tutorials
Getting started guides, manuals, and application notes can help you load your first application code image in minutes. Our Learn Blog features detailed hands-on tutorials with NetBurner embedded development kits, popular sensors, cloud services, and protocols.
The NetBurner forum is great to discuss any hardware or software issues with developers like you. It has been a great place for developers in the NetBurner community to share new ideas and to communicate unique implementations of the product.
5. Quality and Reliability
All of our products are made and checked for quality in the USA, rated for industrial operating temperatures, and are RoHS compliant. We stand by the quality and reliability of our products, include our Embedded IoT Development Kits, with our 1 year warranty and expert support.
Note: A development kit or software upgrade is required for each NetBurner platform type. The purpose of development kit boards is to demonstrate the features and functions of our module products. Development kit boards should not be designed into your final product as they continuously change as new features are added to the module product line. We are willing to provide the design information to you if you wish to manufacture a particular development board revision on your own.
