OverviewOne of the toughest challenges faced in today's evolving market is network connectivity for legacy serial devices. To satisfy this need, NetBurner has developed the SB series of network devices. The NetBurner SB device is ready to run right out of the box with no programming. Start by connecting your serial device and Ethernet network. The initial setup, configuration, and diagnostic programs are easily accessed via the web page interface or included network utilities. Need a custom solution?NetBurner Serial to Ethernet Development Kits are available to customize any aspect of operation including web pages, data filtering, or custom network applications. |

Serial to Ethernet BoardThe SB series serial to Ethernet boards are meant to be placed onto an end product's circuit board as a daughter card. Connect your current devices serial I/O into the easily accessable headers and access with those ports over Ethernet. |

Once connected through an SB series device, your serial device will be able to send and receive data on a network like any other network device. This enables devices to be reached across the Internet or across the hall on the local network. NetBurner is your quickest and easiest way to connect any serial device to an Ethernet network.
Any data received by the SB serial port will be sent out the Ethernet port and vice versa. A serial connection can be looked at as being tunneled transparently through Ethernet. This quick solution requires little effort and is working in minutes.
The SB series has three configurations to choose from. All configurations have two serial interfaces:
The SBxxEX device is meant to be a stand alone box external to the end product. This is ideal for adding Ethernet without changing the design of your product. The non-EX device, such as the SB70 and SB72, offer a more cost sensitive way to add Ethernet by simply adding a processor board to your existing design. These devices offer both TTL and line driver outputs with no DB9 connector. This enables the user to place a DB9 connector directly on the end product interface panel giving your product a fully custom look.
