Overview

Integrated with a NetBurner Network Development Kit, the NetBurner Wireless Development Kit contains all the hardware, software and tools you need to start writing application code for your product or idea immediately. All components are integrated and ready to run so you don't waste any time configuring individual components.

Your application software will operate the same as it does over an Ethernet connection, but now you can communicate with standard wireless routers, access points, computers and laptops.

* Operates seamlessly with NetBurner devices and development packages
* Complete solution including hardware, software, and drivers
* Uses standard 802.11b WiFi cards
Software
Both Extended Service Set (ESS) and Independent Basic Service Set (IBSS) modes are supported. ESS, also called "infrastructure mode", is the most common implementation. It uses wireless routers and access points to connect wireless devices to other networks. These routers and access points control the traffic between wireless devices (also called "nodes"). IBSS, also called "ad-hoc mode", enables peer-to-peer communication between nodes. In this mode, devices will transmit when the network is idle.

System Requirements
The kit requires either the NetBurner MOD5270 Development Kit, MOD5272 Development Kit or the MOD5282 Development Kit. The carrier board included with said Module Development Kit must be a revision 1.03 or later. If you have a module development kit with a carrier board revision earlier than 1.03, you will need to purchase a new development kit.
