Setting up and utilizing a DMA timer to measure frequency
SAN DIEGO, CA —The 32-bit Direct Memory Access (DMA) timers can be used to measure input by comparing the system clock when you begin the timer and when you exit the timer. It can also measure input through DTIN. We will be providing the input we want to count, so we will use DTIN in this example. Using this method, you can measure the frequency of an incoming signal. In this example, we will be measuring the frequency of light using a light->frequency IC.

NetBurner PK70 Awarded 'Best of Show' at the 2007 Freescale Technology Forum
ORLANDO, FL — NetBurner is pleased to have been recognized as the "Best of Show" Award winner at the Freescale Technology Forum (FTF) held in Orlando, Florida 25-28 June. The NetBurner PK70 Embedded Control Product Kit won the "Best of Class" award for "Innovative Platforms". The PK70 combines the design of a finished product, the flexibility of a network module, and the power of the NetBurner development suite into a ready to use platform for use in both prototype or production.
The primary advantage of the PK70 is that you can customize it by creating your own a Custom Blade Board and install it inside the PK70 enclosure.
Quickly and easily add additional functionality to a NetBurner PK70 device by installing a NetBurner Personality Blade. The Personality Blade you will use depends on your particular application requirements. For example, the NetBurner Multi-Function Blade Board quickly adds analog-to-digital inputs, digital-to-analog outputs, and 16 digital I/O lines to the NetBurner PK70. The NetBurner Digital Blade Board is the easiest way to add 32 channels of digital I/O and a Xilinx CPLD to the NetBurner PK70. You can also create a custom NetBurner Blade Board for the NetBurner PK70 with the NetBurner Prototype Blade Board.
The PK70 Development Kit includes all hardware, software and tools necessary to complete your embedded network design. The kit includes a world class IDE, Graphical Debugger, Real Time Operating System, and TCP/IP Stack.
